Ford Scorpio Price Guide

The Ford Scorpio was the European name for the Granada Mk 3, although in the UK we kept the beloved Granada moniker until 1994.

The Granda-less-generation Scorpio of 1994 to 1998 used a controversial body design that was widely criticised for its styling; the car beneath was competent but the appearance limited sales fatally.

The Car

The 2.9 24v Cosworth V6 continued alongside the 2.0 and 2.3 Zetec four-cylinders and the 2.5 VM diesel. The estate continued and was the most practical specification. The Scorpio was the last rear-wheel-drive Ford executive car before the Mondeo’s front-wheel-drive architecture took over.

Buying

The 2.9 Cosworth is the performance specification regardless of generation. The estate is the practical choice. Second-generation cars are extremely affordable due to styling-related depreciation and little enthusiasm from Ford fans.
