Ford Mondeo Generation / Variant Price Guides

The Ford Mondeo replaced the Sierra in 1993 and brought front-wheel drive to the Ford family car segment. It won European Car of the Year immediately in 1994 and established itself as the default British fleet car for a decade. “Mondeo Man” became political shorthand for the aspirational British middle class. Five generations tracked the Mondeo from fleet workhorse to sophisticated executive car; the final Mk V arrived in 2024 as a crossover-influenced saloon that may be the last Mondeo.

The Generations

The Mk I (1993–2000) established the name. The Mk II (2000–2007) refined it. The Mk III (2007–2014) grew substantially. The Mk IV (2015–2022) was the most premium. The Mk V (2024) is the Chinese-market-led successor.

Buying

The ST and ST-Line across generations are the driver’s Mondeos. The Titanium X specification the comfortable daily.
