Ford F-150 Price Guide

The Ford F-150 is the best-selling vehicle in America. A title it has held continuously since 1981. From the fifth-generation F-Series of 1967 through fourteen generations to the current electric Lightning, the F-150 has been America’s default truck and, increasingly, America’s default vehicle. No other nameplate approaches its commercial significance in the American market.

The Car

The F-150 designation was introduced in 1975, replacing the F-100 for the half-ton class. Engines have covered inline sixes, V8s from 302ci to 460ci, the EcoBoost turbocharged V6 family, and the fully electric Lightning from 2022. The Raptor off-road performance variant from 2010 uses a 450bhp twin-turbo V6 or the Raptor R’s 700bhp supercharged V8. The SVT Lightning of 1993 was the original performance F-150. The King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited specifications rival luxury cars for interior quality.

Buying

The Raptor is the performance specification. The Lightning electric for zero-emission capability. Standard V8 F-150s are practical and comprehensively supported.
