The Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole of 1983 to 1985 applied the four-valve cylinder heads from the 308 QV to the Mondial, recovering power to 240bhp and significantly improving the car’s performance and driver appeal. The QV also received revised styling that addressed some of the Mondial 8’s visual criticisms.
Buying
The Mondial QV is a meaningful improvement over the 8. Cabriolet versions are more desirable. The cam belt requirement is the same critical maintenance as all V8 Ferraris. The 3.2 that followed was better still.
