The Ferrari F8 Tributo of 2019 to 2022 was the replacement for the 488 GTB. ‘Tributo‘ meaning tribute to the Ferrari V8 engine’s 40-year history in mid-engine road cars. The same 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 at 710bhp, in a revised body with aerodynamics derived from the 488 Pista and improved cooling. The F8 Tributo bridged the turbocharged 488 era and the hybrid 296 era.
The Ferrari F8 Spider is the open-air version -the same mechanical specification as the F8 Tributo coupe.
The Car
The F8 uses the 3,902cc twin-turbo V8 in its highest output (710bhp at 8,000rpm) with 488 Pista-derived aerodynamics including the S-duct front. The body was a refined development of the 488 GTB with more effective cooling inlets and revised proportions. Side Slip Control 6.0 and Race mode as standard. The package came together to deliver 0–62mph in 2.9 seconds.
