Ferrari 456 Price Guide

typical price 14 October, 2026
The Ferrari 456 GT of 1992 to 2003 was the return of the proper front-engined V12 grand tourer after the 412. The 456 is the Ferrari for buyers who prefer discretion to theatre, and it remains one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever made.
The Car
The 456 used a 5,474cc version of the Ferrari V12 producing 436bhp at 6,250rpm, with a six-speed manual transaxle at the rear for optimal weight distribution. The 2+2 body has genuine rear seats and genuine boot space. A revised 456M of 1998 added ABS, traction control, and available automatic transmission. The long bonnet, low roofline, and restrained detailing create a silhouette that has aged better than almost any Ferrari contemporary. Around 1,548 456 GTs and 1,289 456M GTs were produced.
Buying
The 456 GT manual is the purist’s specification. The M automatic is more accessible and more practical. The V12 requires major service at regular intervals, so budget carefully. Rust in the aluminium-and-steel body structure requires attention. The 456 is consistently undervalued relative to its ability.
