DS Automobiles DS3 Price Guide

The DS3 under DS Automobiles branding represents the continuation of the Citroën DS3 as a standalone premium model. Outside of the Citroën branding, the DS3 remains a three-door premium supermini. It uses the same platform and mechanicals as the Citroën DS3 but was increasingly differentiated in specification and marketing to position DS as a genuine rival to MINI and Audi A1.

The Car

The DS Automobiles DS3 used the PureTech 1.2-litre three-cylinder and the THP 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol alongside 1.6 BlueHDi diesel options. The Performance variant used the 208bhp THP for genuine hot hatch credentials. DS-specific interior materials (leather, chrome detailing, and watch-inspired instrumentation) elevated it above the Citroën equivalent. DS-branded personalisation options including roof and mirror colours, interior trim combinations, and engraved finishes allowed significant customisation.

Buying

The DS3 Performance is the enthusiast’s choice; the 208bhp THP in the lightest DS body remains properly entertaining. The 1.2 PureTech is the practical daily. Check PureTech engines for oil dilution on higher-mileage cars, which is a known issue across the PSA three-cylinder range.
