Dacia Sandero Stepway Price Guide

The Dacia Sandero Stepway is the crossover variant of the Sandero. It shares the same platform, engines, and basic structure but adding raised suspension, plastic body cladding, roof rails, and SUV-influenced styling. It commands a small premium over the standard Sandero while offering the higher seating position and slightly increased ground clearance that buyers in the crossover-hatchback class increasingly prefer.

The Car

The Stepway has run alongside the Sandero throughout its three generations. The second-generation Stepway (2013–2020) used the same B52 platform as the Sandero with approximately 15cm of ground clearance versus the standard car’s 14.5cm. The third-generation Stepway (2021–present) on CMF-B brings genuine improvement in interior quality and safety equipment. The Extreme specification adds further adventure-focused styling. No four-wheel drive is available; the Stepway’s additional ground clearance is light off-road ability rather than serious four-wheel-drive capability.

Buying

The third-generation Stepway in Comfort or above specification is the most complete version. The bi-fuel ECO-G powertrain suits high-mileage users. The 1.5 dCi diesel is the most durable choice. The Stepway commands a modest premium over the standard Sandero that is generally justified by its broader appeal on the used market.
