Cupra Leon Price Guide
-
typical price 7 October, 2026
The Cupra Leon is the performance variant of the SEAT Leon — elevated to its own separate brand identity under the Cupra name from 2021, using the same MQB Evo platform and VW Group 2.0 TSI engine in 245 and 300bhp forms. It is a direct competitor to the Golf R and Hyundai i30 N, and in most assessments gives both a serious challenge.
The Car
The Cupra Leon uses the EA888 2.0 TSI in 245bhp front-wheel-drive and 300bhp 4Drive all-wheel-drive specifications, with the 310bhp Leon VZ as the performance peak. A five-door hatchback and Sportstourer estate body styles are both offered. The suspension tuning is firmer than the standard SEAT Leon with Cupra-specific geometry and optional DCC adaptive dampers. E-Hybrid plug-in variants use a 1.4 TSI with electric motor for 204bhp with zero-emission capability.
Buying
The 300bhp 4Drive is the performance specification — genuine Golf R competition with slightly more character. The estate Sportstourer combines performance with practicality in the way few rivals match. Cupra servicing is handled through the SEAT network. DSG fluid changes are important maintenance. Strong used values reflect the brand’s growing reputation.
