The Citroën LNA replaced the LN and used the Peugeot 104 engine in place of the flat-twin. The result was a more coherent arrangement that produced a usable small car. The LNA ran from 1976 to 1986 and bridged the supermini gap between the 2CV era and the AX that would succeed it.
The Car
The LNA used 954cc and 1,124cc Peugeot four-cylinder engines in the Peugeot 104 body with Citroën badging and trim. Conventional front-wheel-drive suspension. The LNA11 with the 1,124cc was the more practical variant. These are practical but undistinguished small cars; the antithesis of Citroën’s creative tradition, and a result of the PSA merger’s rationalisation programme.
Buying
The LNA is affordable transport with Peugeot 104 parts availability.
