The Citroën C25 was a medium-sized panel van produced in collaboration with Peugeot (as the J5) and Fiat (as the Ducato) from 1981. It was the forerunner of the modern Relay and Ducato platform that remains the basis for a large proportion of European light commercial vehicles today. The C25 diesel is the model most commonly encountered.

The Car

The C25 used Citroën, Peugeot, and Fiat-sourced engines in a purpose-designed van body offering excellent load capacity for its external dimensions. The 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre diesels were the practical powertrains. Panel van, minibus, dropside, and specialist ambulance configurations were available. The C25’s basic layout established the architecture that continues in the Relay today.

Buying

The C25 is a working commercial vehicle primarily of interest to van preservation enthusiasts. The diesel engines are durable. Rust in the body and floor is the primary concern.
