Chevrolet Stylemaster Price Guide
-
typical price 17 October, 2026
The Chevrolet Stylemaster was the entry-level 1946–1948 Chevrolet. A pre-war design updated for post-war sale that provided basic, reliable transportation at the lowest price point in the Chevrolet range. Above it sat the Fleetmaster; below it, nothing. These are the cars that put post-war America back on the road.
The Car
The Stylemaster used the 216ci Stovebolt inline-six in a restyled version of the pre-war body. Business coupe, sport coupe, two-door town sedan, and four-door town sedan body styles. Basic specification throughout. Shared mechanical components with the Fleetmaster making parts interchange straightforward.
Buying
The Stylemaster and Fleetmaster are interchangeable from a buying perspective. Both offer accessible pre-war-derived American motoring. Rust is the primary concern. The Chevrolet pre-war and early post-war community is well-organised.
