Chevrolet Fleetmaster Price Guide
-
typical price 17 October, 2026
The Chevrolet Fleetmaster was the premium 1946–1948 Chevrolet — above the Stylemaster in trim and equipment, with additional chrome, convertible and sport sedan body styles, and the slightly more complete specification that post-war buyers were demanding after years of wartime austerity. The convertible is the most desirable survivor.
The Car
The Fleetmaster used the same 216ci Stovebolt inline-six and body structure as the Stylemaster, differing primarily in trim level and the availability of the convertible and two-door sport sedan body styles. The 1946–1948 run was brief — the entirely new 1949 Chevrolet replaced both the Stylemaster and Fleetmaster. The convertible is rare among surviving cars.
Buying
The convertible is the specification that commands collector interest. Standard Fleetmasters offer the same mechanical experience as the Stylemaster at a modest premium for the additional trim. Chevrolet
