The Action Line C/K of 1967 to 1972 is the most popular and most collected of all C/K generations. The truck that combined purposeful styling, a range from the 250ci six to the 402ci big-block V8, and just enough chrome and comfort to attract buyers who wanted more than a pure work tool. The 1969 Fleetside in Hugger Orange is nothing short of an American icon.

The Car

The 1967 redesign brought a wider cab, curved glass all round, and the full Comfort-and-Convenience options package that transformed pickup truck interiors. The 327, 350, 396, and 402ci V8s covered the performance range. The Cheyenne trim package from 1971 added wood trim, extra insulation, and chrome details. A Camper Special suspension package accommodated slide-in campers. The K blazer SUV used the same 1967–1972 cab.

Buying

The most sought-after C/K generation. Frame rot is the primary structural concern. The 396/402 big-block trucks command premiums. Documenting original trim packages is important for value. The Rounded Line arrived in 1973.
