Cadillac Seville Generation / Variant Price Guides

The Cadillac Seville was Cadillac’s answer to the European luxury saloon. It was a smaller, more sophisticated car intended to compete with Mercedes and BMW for buyers who found the full-sized DeVille excessive. Launched in 1975 at a price higher than the DeVille, it demonstrated Cadillac’s ambition to move beyond the American market’s preoccupation with size.

The Range

The Seville ran from 1975 to 2004 across five generations. The first generation (1975–1979) established the compact luxury concept on a modified Chevrolet Nova platform. The second and third generations developed it through the 1980s. The fourth generation (1992–1997) arrived with the Northstar V8 and the controversial bustle-back styling that divided opinion sharply.

Buying

The first generation is the collectible Seville. The Northstar-engined fourth generation offers modern performance. Northstar head bolt integrity is the primary mechanical concern across the later cars.
