Cadillac Fleetwood Generation / Variant Price Guides

The Cadillac Fleetwood name encompassed Cadillac’s most prestigious, longest-wheelbase products. These were the cars built for heads of state, corporate chairmen, and buyers for whom even the DeVille’s generous proportions were insufficient. From the coachbuilt era of the 1930s through to the last Fleetwood Brougham of 1996, the Fleetwood name meant the ultimate Cadillac.

The Range

The Fleetwood designation covers multiple configurations: the coachbuilt era bodies on pre-war and early post-war Cadillac chassis, the long-wheelbase 75-series limousines, the formal Brougham, and the 1980s–1990s front-wheel-drive Fleetwood. The rear-wheel-drive 1987–1990 Fleetwood was Cadillac’s last dedicated rear-wheel-drive saloon before the format returned with the 1993 Fleetwood.

Buying

The pre-war coachbuilt Fleetwoods are museum pieces. The rear-wheel-drive 1987–1990 and 1993–1996 Fleetwoods are the drivers’ classics and, importantly, the last proper American rear-wheel-drive luxury saloons.
