BMW X5M Generation / Variant Price Guides
The BMW X5M is the performance version of the X5. A car that started as an improbable concept (an M division SUV) and became one of the most successful products in BMW M’s history. Three generations have used twin-turbo V8 engines to produce performance that embarrasses sports cars in a vehicle that can carry seven people.
The Range
The E70 X5 M used the S63 at 555bhp; the F85 at 567bhp; the current G05-based Competition at 617bhp. All use xDrive and the M Steptronic automatic. No manual has ever been offered. The Competition variant has been the recommended specification since its introduction.
Buying
The Competition is always the specification to choose. Depreciation from new prices is dramatic. The S63 requires attentive servicing.
