BMW M6 Generation / Variant Price Guides

The BMW M6 has appeared in three distinct chapters; the E24 M6 of the 1980s, the E63/E64 M6 of the 2000s, and the F06/F12/F13 M6 of the 2010s. Each time it has been the performance variant of the 6 Series grand tourer: a car that combines long-distance comfort with the performance credentials of BMW Motorsport.

The Range

The E24 M6 used the S38 straight-six; the E63/E64 used the S85 V10; the F-series M6 used the S63 twin-turbo V8. The Gran Coupe body style was available on the F-series generation.

The M5 shares engines with the M6 across most generations. Essentially, the M6 offering the same performance as the M5 in a more stylish, less practical package.

Buying

The E24 M6 is the classic. The E63 V10 is the spectacular but high-maintenance choice. The F12/F13 M6 offers the best combination of performance and usability. The Gran Coupe adds four doors without significantly compromising the appearance.
