Bentley T Series T2 (1977-1980) Price Guide

The T2 was the final and more refined T Series, introduced in 1977. It was launched with rack-and-pinion steering that finally addressed the T1’s numb power steering, along with revised bumpers meeting American safety regulations and a subtle improvement in ride quality.
The Car
Produced from 1977 to 1980, the T2 brought the most significant mechanical improvement of the T Series run: that revised steering transformed the driving experience, providing feel and precision that the T1’s recirculating ball system could never match. The V8 continued in the same basic form. Around 555 T2 saloons were built, significantly fewer than the T1, making the T2 the rarer and for many the preferred car.
Buying
The T2 is the definitive T Series. Fewer were built than the T1 and the rack steering is a genuine improvement. The same hydraulic suspension concerns apply. The Mulsanne that followed in 1980 used the same basic platform in a more formal body.
