Bentley S3 Price Guide

The Bentley S3 was the final and most refined expression of the S-Series, distinguished by quad headlamps, a lower bonnet line, and a more powerful V8 producing around 10% more output than the S2’s unit. It is the most complete S-Series Bentley and considered by many to be the most desirable.

The Car

Produced from 1962 to 1965, the S3 retained the 6,230cc V8 but with revised carburation and inlet manifolding for improved power. The quad headlamp arrangement distinguished it visually from the S1 and S2. The S3 Continental Flying Spur was the definitive coachbuilt grand tourer. Around 1,286 standard S3s were built, significantly fewer than the S1 or S2. The T Series that replaced it in 1965 moved to unit construction and independent rear suspension, marking a complete break with the separate-chassis era.

Buying

The S3 is the most capable and most collectible S-Series saloon. Values tend to be higher than the S2 but justified by the improved specification and lower production numbers.
