Bentley Mulsanne Generation / Variant Price Guides
The Bentley Mulsanne has been Bentley’s flagship saloon across two very different eras. The original 1980s car revived the Bentley name as something distinct from Rolls-Royce. The modern Mulsanne of 2010–2020 was the most accomplished hand-built saloon Bentley ever produced. The name comes from the long straight at Le Mans that the Bentley Boys powered down to victory in the late 1920s.
Two Eras
The original Mulsanne of 1980–1992 used the 6,750cc V8 on the T Series platform, positioned above the Eight and Turbo R in the range.
The modern Mulsanne of 2010–2020 was an entirely new car on a bespoke platform, using a 6¾-litre twin-turbo V8 producing up to 537bhp in Speed specification. Both cars represent Bentley at its most formal and most ambitious.
Buying
The original Mulsanne is an affordable entry into Crewe craftsmanship. The modern car has depreciated substantially from its new price of over £250,000, making it the most cost-effective truly hand-built saloon available.
