Bentley Continental Generation / Variant Price Guides
The Continental name has graced the finest Bentleys across seven decades from the legendary R Type Continental of 1952, through the handbuilt Mulliner Park Ward coupes of the 1980s and 1990s, to the modern GT family that transformed Bentley into a volume manufacturer. It is the name Bentley reserves for its most ambitious and most beautiful cars.
Classic Era (1952–2002)
The original R Type Continental defined what a gran turismo should be. The later Continentals of the Corniche/Continental era brought the name to a new generation with handbuilt coupes and convertibles at prices that reflected their craftsmanship.
Modern Era (2003–present)
The Continental GT family from 2003 brought the name to a far wider audience through volume production at Crewe and Volkswagen Group engineering. The Continental GTC convertible and Continental Flying Spur four-door saloon expanded the family further.
Buying
The classic Continentals are collector’s cars requiring specialist support. The modern GT represents accessible Bentley ownership at depreciated prices.
