The data above is based on information retrieved from actual, real-world Bentley Arnage sales listings. Our AI agents try to correct obvious mistakes sellers make, such as incorrect engine capacities, but some may still fall through.

The Arnage 4.4 V8 (officially the Arnage Green Label) was the original Arnage, using a BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 that VW Group had specified to meet emissions regulations the old 6¾-litre could not satisfy. It is the most controversial Bentley ever produced and the least desirable Arnage.

The Car

Produced from 1998 to 1999 only, the Green Label used a BMW M62 4.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 354bhp, lacking enough that it as soon supplemented by a twin-turbo version producing 420bhp. When VW Group’s acquisition of Bentley concluded and the BMW supply arrangement ended, the Green Label was quickly replaced. Around 800 were built. The BMW engine is technically sophisticated and reliable, but it is not a Bentley engine and most buyers recognise this.

Buying

Buy a Green Label only if the price reflects its position as the least desirable Arnage. The BMW V8 is a good engine but it is comprehensively outclassed in character by the 6¾-litre that followed. Conversion to the Red Label specification is possible but expensive.
