Audi TT Generation / Variant Price Guides

The Audi TT is the car that announced the modern Audi design language to the world. When the first concept appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1995, it was such a complete and compelling vision that Audi barely changed it for production. The production car divided opinion. Was it a fashion icon or a genuine sports car? The answer has always been: primarily the first, increasingly the second.

The Range

Three generations covered 1998 to 2023, each progressively more capable as a driver’s car without ever abandoning the design-led character that defined the original. The TT Roadster ran alongside the coupe throughout. The TTS and TT RS added genuine performance credentials. The 2023 discontinuation (with no direct replacement) was a decision driven by electrification strategy rather than any failure of the car itself.

Buying

The original 8N is the design icon; the 8J is the mechanical sweet spot; the 8S is the most sophisticated and most rewarding to drive. Each is covered in detail in the individual generation guides. All versions are well-built, well-supported, and hold their value better than most coupés of comparable price.
