Audi S8 D4 (2012-2017) Price Guide
-
typical price 7 October, 2026
The D4 S8, produced from 2012 to 2017, used the 4.0 TFSI twin-turbo V8 in 520bhp form, with the S8 Plus raising this to 605bhp, making it the most powerful production Audi at the time of its launch. Both are devastating express limousines that look almost indistinguishable from a standard A8.
The Car
The D4 S8 used the EA824 4.0 TFSI producing 520bhp with cylinder deactivation for improved efficiency. Eight-speed torque converter automatic and quattro. 0–62mph in 4.0 seconds from a car weighing over 1,900kg. The S8 Plus added 85bhp for 605bhp, uprated brakes, and a sports suspension with carbon-ceramic brakes optional, a package which resulted in 0–62mph in 3.8 seconds.
Buying
The S8 Plus is the one collectors pursue; 605bhp, limited production, and a performance level that embarrassed dedicated sports cars in 2016. Early 4.0 TFSI oil consumption concern applies, check for the revision. The Audi D4 S8 Plus is firmly in appreciating territory. Standard D4 S8 offers the same basic package at lower entry price.
