Audi S7 Price Guide

The Audi S7 is the performance A7 Sportback. The same high-performance V6 and V8 engines in a four-door fastback body that combines the A6‘s practicality with a dramatically more attractive roofline. It is the S6’s more stylish sibling, available only as a Sportback rather than an Avant estate.

The Car

Two generations match the A7’s platform history. The original C7-based S7 used the 4.0 TFSI producing 420bhp, the same as the C7 S6. The current C8-based S7 uses a 2.9 TFSI twin-turbo V6 at 444bhp with a mild-hybrid system. Both are exclusively Sportback. Quattro and S tronic throughout. The S7 commands a premium over the S6 saloon in the used market, justified by the styling rather than any mechanical distinction.

Buying

The S7 is rarer than the S6 and holds its value accordingly. The C7 S7 with the 4.0 TFSI V8 is the more characterful car. The C8 S7 is more technologically current. The Audi S7 Sportback boot (a hatchback with a deceptively large aperture) is more practical than it appears from outside. An overlooked alternative to the RS7 for buyers who want the Sportback shape without RS running costs.
