The Audi S6 e-tron is the performance version of the A6 e-tron; a dual-motor electric executive car producing 551bhp with quattro all-wheel drive, positioned as the electric equivalent of the combustion S6. It is current production and represents Audi’s vision of performance electric motoring in the executive segment.

The Car

The S6 e-tron uses twin electric motors producing 551bhp in standard mode with overboost capability, quattro all-wheel drive, and the PPE platform’s 800V architecture supporting 270kW charging. Available as Sportback and Avant. 0–62mph in 3.9 seconds. The S-specific chassis tuning, wider tracks, and sport suspension distinguish it from the standard A6 e-tron. Matrix OLED rear lighting and Audi’s latest digital interior are standard.

Buying

Current productio, so too recent for reliability data beyond the well-proven PPE platform. The S6 e-tron Avant is particularly compelling: estate practicality, 551bhp, 800V charging, and a claimed range exceeding 600km WLTP. The Audi S6 e-tron competes with the BMW i5 M60 and Mercedes-AMG EQE 53. It is the most range-efficient of the three thanks to the Sportback and Avant’s aerodynamic advantage.
