Audi RS3 8P (2011-2012) Price Guide
-
typical price 7 October, 2026
The 8P RS3, produced from 2011 to 2012, was a brief but brilliant first outing for the five-cylinder turbo in the A3 body. Just 2,721 were built globally, making it one of the rarest production Audis of recent decades and already a genuine collector’s piece.
The Car
The 8P RS3 used the 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder producing 335bhp with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch and quattro all-wheel drive. Three-door Sportback only. The 0–62mph time of 4.6 seconds was startling for a compact hatchback in 2011. The five-cylinder sound (a hard, industrial howl that intensifies with revs) was unlike anything else on the road. No Saloon variant, no manual gearbox, no Roadster option: this was always going to be a brief, concentrated production run.
Buying
The 8P RS3 is now firmly in appreciating modern classic territory. Values have risen consistently. A low-mileage, unmodified car with service history is the specification collectors pursue. The Audi five-cylinder requires correct-specification oil and regular changes as oil starvation damage is expensive. Check the DSG fluid history and inspect the five-cylinder for the characteristic idle lumpiness that indicates a coil pack or injector issue.
