Audi RS3 Generation / Variant Price Guides

The Audi RS3 is the most concentrated performance Audi: five cylinders, a turbocharger, quattro, and a kerb weight barely above a tonne. In every generation it has delivered a combination of straight-line violence and sound quality that no four-cylinder rival can match, making it one of the most distinctive performance cars in its class.

The Range

Three generations of RS3 have used the 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo (the same basic engine family that powers the TT RS) with power rising from 335bhp in the 8P through 362/400bhp in the 8V to 400bhp in the current 8Y. The five-cylinder’s unique firing order produces a sound unlike any four-cylinder hot hatch, and that alone justifies the premium over the S3 for many buyers.

Buying

Every RS3 is a driver’s car first. The 8P is the rarest and most collectable. The 8V is the sweet spot for most buyers. The 8Y is the most capable. All are well-supported by the Audi RS specialist network.
