Audi A6 Generation / Variant Price Guides

The Audi A6 sits at the heart of the executive car market; larger than the A4 and more accessible than the A8, it is the car that Audi dealers sell in the highest volumes to the widest range of corporate and private buyers. It is also, in its finest configurations, a genuinely excellent long-distance car.

The Range

The A6 designation has covered C4 through C8 generations from 1994 to the present, with Avant estate, Allroad, and S6/RS6 performance variants throughout. The Avant is consistently more popular in the UK than the saloon and commands stronger residuals. The RS6 Avant has become one of the most celebrated performance estates of any era. Five generations are covered individually; what unites them is the emphasis on refinement and long-distance capability over driving dynamism.

Buying

The Avant adds marginal cost over the saloon when new but the difference narrows dramatically in the used market. Quattro is standard on V6 and RS models.
