Aston Martin Virage Generation / Variant Price Guides
The Virage name has appeared twice in Aston Martin‘s history. The two Virages are eparated by two decades but share the same purpose: occupying the space between the marque’s core GT and its range-topping flagship. Virage is French for a bend in the road, which is apt for a car that has always been caught at a turning point in the company’s development.
The First Virage (1989–2000)
The original Virage replaced the long-running V8 in 1989 with a new body draped over the same 5.3-litre quad-cam that had served Aston since the DBS era. It evolved through Volante, Vantage, V8 Coupé, and V8 Volante variants across an eleven-year run that ended in 2000.
The Second Virage (2011–2012)
The modern Virage was revived briefly at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show as a V12 grand tourer positioned between the DB9 and DBS, filled what Aston Martin believed was a gap in the range, and was discontinued after barely a year when the gap closed of its own accord.
