Alpine
Alpine Price Guide
Alpine occupies an unusual position in the market. The brand has two distinct chapters – the original Dieppe-built cars from 1955 to 1995, and the modern revival under Renault from 2017 onwards – and each has its own value dynamics. If you are trying to understand what your Alpine is worth, the era matters as much as the specification.
What Affects Alpine Values
Across both eras, the common thread is lightness and driver engagement. These are not powerful cars by headline figures, but they punch well above their weight, and the market tends to reward that character. For the classic cars, originality, matching numbers, and documented history are critical. For the modern A110, specification level, mileage, and colour choice all influence value more than you might expect on a relatively new car.
Classic Alpines
The original A110 Berlinette is the blue-chip Alpine, with values reflecting its iconic status and its 1973 World Rally Championship victory. Good examples are now firmly six-figure cars and rising. The A310, which followed it, is more affordable and increasingly recognised as undervalued – particularly the V6 models. The GTA and A610 that closed out the original era are the most accessible classics in the range, though values have been climbing as the modern revival has drawn fresh attention to the brand. French market cars dominate the supply, so imports may need careful checking for specification differences.
Modern Alpines
The reborn A110 (2017 onwards) has been widely praised as one of the best driver’s cars of its generation, and residual values have reflected that. The Premiere Edition launch cars carry a small premium. The lighter, harder A110 S and track-focused A110 R and R Turini hold value particularly well compared to the standard car. With the combustion A110 now in its final production run, there is growing interest in securing late-model examples before the range transitions to electric. The newer A290 hot hatch is far more affordable and follows a more conventional depreciation path as a volume model.
