The Abarth 695 70th Anniversario was produced in 2019 to celebrate seven decades since Karl Abarth founded Abarth & C. in Bologna on 31 March 1949. Limited to 1,949 units worldwide — one for each year of the company’s founding — it was the first 695 edition to feature the Akrapovic exhaust that would later become the esseesse’s signature.

Specification

The 70th Anniversario used the 180bhp 1.4 T-Jet turbo with a dual-mode Akrapovic exhaust that could be toggled between a quieter setting and a full-bore race mode via a dashboard switch. Unique 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with a matte grey finish, numbered plaque on the dashboard, 70th Anniversary badges, and a choice of Monza Green or Campovolo Grey paint completed the specification. Sabelt seats, Brembo brakes, and Koni dampers were standard. A manual gearbox was the only transmission — no MTA option was offered.

Buying

The 1,949-unit global production run makes the 70th Anniversario rarer than many 695 editions but more common than the Biposto or Tributo Ferrari. The 595 Competizione shares the same 180bhp engine at a lower price point. The Akrapovic exhaust is the key mechanical distinction over a standard 695 Competizione. Monza Green is the colour most associated with the edition. Verify the numbered plaque and confirm the car’s specification matches the official 70th Anniversario equipment list.
