The Abarth 600e is the brand’s first fully electric performance car built on a bespoke platform, and it represents a significant step up from the 500e in both size and ambition. This is Abarth’s attempt to prove that electric performance can carry the scorpion badge with credibility.
The Car
Launched in 2025, the 600e uses the Stellantis CMP2 platform shared with the Fiat 600e, Jeep Avenger, and Peugeot e-2008. The electric motor produces 240bhp — a substantial increase over the Fiat 600e’s 156bhp — making it the most powerful standard Abarth ever produced. Torque is 345Nm, delivered instantly. The 54kWh battery provides around 210 miles of WLTP range, slightly less than the Fiat version due to the increased power draw. The suspension is retuned with stiffer springs, recalibrated dampers, and a wider rear track. The Scorpion mode sharpens throttle response and enables a torque vectoring function that brakes the inside front wheel to tighten the car’s line through corners.
Buying
Too new for long-term reliability data, though the Stellantis platform is well-proven. The 600e is substantially larger and heavier than the 595 it replaces as Abarth’s core product, and whether the electric powertrain can replicate the combustion car’s theatrical character is the question that will define the brand’s future.
